About the Border Collie Club of SAThe Border Collie Club of South Australia is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in 2021 and affiliated with DogsSA and the National Border Collie Council. We aim to encourage and promote the ethical breeding, care, training and exhibition of the Border Collie, as well as promote public interest in the breed and activities that can be participated in with these versatile and very clever dogs.

Membership runs throughout the financial year from 1st July to 30th June annually. New applications received April to June are half price for the remainder of the financial year. We have packed 2025 full of events with Specialty Championship Shows on Saturday 3rd May and at the Royal Adelaide Show on Friday 5th September, Obedience, Rally and Tricks Trials on Sunday 25th May, our second Agility and Jumping Trials on Sunday 20th October and we are excited to be holding our inaugural Herding Trials on Sunday 9th August. We will also be holding another two Puppy Fundamentals Master Classes, assorted Fun Days, Bunnings BBQ Fundraisers and other events and activities throughout the year, as well as once again having a Border Collie Club stall at the Adelaide Animal Expo on 21 - 22 June at the Adelaide Showgrounds.

For those looking to add a Border Collie to the family or breeders looking to list their litters, we have a dedicated Puppy Enquiries service that we encourage you to utilise to find out information, get in touch with breeders/potential puppy families and get support from the club. For more information please click here. We are also pleased to be able to offer twice-yearly Puppy Sessions to members of the club with puppies aged 3 to 12 months old, with qualified, knowledgeable and breed experienced experts offering information and advice on Border Collie health, behaviour, training, grooming as well as the activities and sports that you can participate in with your dogs as they grow. Our 2025 sessions will be held in July and November and you can book here.
We are excited to play a role in promoting the ethical breeding of Border Collies in South Australia and were pleased to offer a Health Clinic in October 2023. Services available included eye testing, DNA swabbing and sample collection for Border Collie Collapse. We hope to provide ongoing annual health testing and encourage all breeders to take part in ensuring we follow best practice with testing breeding stock. For more information please click here.
